“<Create Labyrinth>!”

As soon as I declared the system to start up, I pressed the command floating in front of me.

       〜Modification Mode Start〜

            (Y/N?)

When I pressed the command, what was displayed was the system startup text scrolling across my field of vision. Naturally, I believed that it would be impossible to defeat the Labyrinth Dragon without activating this system. When I decided to activate the system, the area around me changed into an omnidirectional spherical monitor – no, it was actually displayed within my field of vision.

What was displayed on the spherical monitor is various parameters, multiple object information, my CP crystal point, weather information, temperature, humidity, wind speed, time flow, etc., so much information was displayed that it can’t be seen in one direction.

“This is amazing… even the MOD functions have been perfectly reproduced…”

It was no wonder that the words leaked out involuntarily. What is MOD? Simply put, it is modification data itself. There are some aspects similar to cheats that FPS players avoid, but while cheats change part of the game world, MODs use data from the main game to create something like a new main story――or even a new world. .

However, despite cheating is disliked by both game developers and users, creating MODs is sometimes recommended by game developers, and tools for this purpose are often made public.

In short, what you can do with MODs is limitless. Adding new rules to an FPS game can transform it into a completely different game genre, or it can transform modern warfare into a space war or a Sengoku war.

VMB also released official MOD tools for users. This tool was prepared by VMB’s developers, and by using it, users can use all of VMB’s virtual space data and create the virtual world they envision. As can be seen from the official name, the virtual world created by this tool――the User’s World was distributed throughout the world through VMB, and all users could access the world.

And that day, at a banquet in the royal capital, I acquired a skill called〈Create Labyrinth〉.

This skill was the one that allowed me to access VMB’s official MOD tool from within the game――applied to this other world, I can create my new user world in this world.

“World range setting, base map selection…Wake Island, change magnification…change island angle…determined.”

By manipulating various items and parameters displayed on the spherical monitor with voice, fingers, and will, I selected the island that would become the foundation of the new world. Wake Island is an actual island in the North Pacific Ocean, and it was also the island where the Japanese and American forces clashed during WWII (World War II).

The unique feature of Wake Island is that it is a coral reef island formed in the shape of a ring by a submerged dormant volcano, and it has a U-shaped topography.

Originally, it was not a very large island, but it was expanded to match the specification for the User’s World, which has the magnification of the island itself, and even changed the direction of the U-shape, making it suitable for attacking the Labyrinth Dragon. Basically, I’m able to manipulate it to become an entirely different island.

The moment I decided on the base map――the sea surface began to shine around me who was standing on the lifeboat. In the blink of an eye, the dazzling light travels across the sea surface, and the ring of light spreads out to the horizon.

And countless particles of light rise. The other side of the spherical monitor was enveloped in light――

“Set the weather to clear skies, trace the temperature of the sea and the surrounding environment, and set the wind direction and speed――”

There was no time to admire the fantastic scenery shown by the rising particles of light. I immediately began inputting the basic parameters and transformed Wake Island, which had only grown to a gigantic size, into a strong fortress.

“Display creation command… Embank the entire island, change depth of shallow water, change soil quality… Remove height restriction, display field objects… Install.”

By embanking the entire flat surface of Wake Island with almost no difference in height, and after I removed height restrictions, a gigantic rock wall that rivaled the maze of Labyrinth Dragon was created. As a result, the Marine Knights approaching from the port city Amar side would not be able to see what is happening on the other side of the huge rock wall. Additionally, because the island was placed close to the border of the User’s World, it would be nearly impossible to invade the User’s World from the sea.

This was necessary to avoid involving the Marine Knights.

Before I knew it, the lifeboat was not on the sea, but on the sandy beach. Particles of light materialized and began to form the shape of an island. I wondered about it, but it’d take time after all――

It didn’t seem like it’s there at the moment I selected it, like in the game. It’s not too late, but if I continue to create, the realization will continue to be delayed. All preparations must be completed before Labyrinth Dragon approaches the border of the User’s World.

“Battle object display…large cannon selection…S23 180mm cannon…confirm, confirm, confirm, confirm, confirm――”

On top of the rock wall, I will place 180mm cannons, which are battle objects that can be placed on the map at certain intervals.

This 180mm cannon is a heavy cannon developed by the Soviet Union in 1956. As the name suggests, it fires a howitzer with a huge 180mm caliber gun, and it has an overwhelming range of up to 30,000 meters. The firing interval is automatic loading every two minutes, there is no concept of running out of bullets for battle objects, and I should be able to control all FCS (fire control systems) with a single thought no matter how many units I set up.

However, that doesn’t mean I can just randomly install countless 180mm cannons. Creating this User’s World will consume CP crystal points no matter what you decide. I must manage the limited CP crystal points and prepare the stage to annihilate the labyrinth dragon and the monsters that were spat out.

“Selection of anti-aircraft gun…confirm, selection of field artillery…confirm――”

In addition to high-powered heavy artillery, I also installed anti-aircraft weapons and anti-monster gun ports. Wake Island progressed to become a huge fortress.

“Architect display…Select and confirm shipyard.”

The basic parameters of the User’s World will be determined, the topography of Wake Island will be rebuilt into something completely different, and various gun ports will be placed so that it functions as a huge fortress. This alone consumed most of the CP I had prepared.

But, it’s still not enough. The object ship that can be created by building a shipyard will be the key to defeating the Labyrinth Dragon. Looking around from inside the spherical monitor, I watched the completion of 180mm cannons and anti-aircraft guns taking shape one after another, and waited for the shipyard to be completed as light particles converged right in front of my eyes.

Object ship――it is a special ship that the player cannot purchase, and there are also object cars, tanks, helicopters, etc. All of them are powerful mobile weapons, and some have the power to completely change the course of battle. Also, being able to freely install these special mobile weapons is the fun of creating a User’s World in VMB, and the fun of the players playing that User’s World.

Eventually, the surrounding glow subsided, and the shipyard in my vision was completed, revealing a huge factory and crane.
